stumbling on a boundary

Without formal definitions, we might end up drifting in and out of boundaries defined by others. Someone enters in and offends your personal space but they don’t know it. A person asks you a question that makes you uncomfortable but they don’t realize it. You walk into an area where an animal is protecting it’s young but you don’t realize it.

Francis Alys‘ work Gringo has him benignly walking dirt roads in Hidalgo, Mexico until he comes across the invisible boundary that a group of dogs have defined as their own.
